Our promise: the prices below are the complete cost of using our service. There are no hidden fees, no per-employee charges, no setup fees, and no separate charge for electronic filing (e-filing) — e-filing with the IRS and the California EDD is included in every plan at no additional cost.
1.Service Plans
Quarterly Plan — $125 per quarter
- Payroll calculation for all employees / officers
- Preparation and electronic filing of IRS Form 941 (federal quarterly return)
- Preparation and electronic filing of California DE 9 and DE 9C (state quarterly returns)
- Federal tax deposit facilitation through EFTPS
- Paystubs and quarterly payroll summary reports
Billed at the start of each quarter you use the service. Year-end W-2/W-3 filing is not included in this plan and is billed separately (see Section 2).
Annual Plan — $400 per year
- Everything in the Quarterly Plan, for all four quarters
- Year-end W-2 and W-3 preparation and filing — included
- Form 940 (annual federal unemployment / FUTA return) — included
- Priority support
Billed once per calendar year. Compared to paying quarterly plus year-end filing, the Annual Plan saves $100 or more.
2.Year-End Filing (Quarterly Plan Only)
If you are on the Quarterly Plan, year-end W-2/W-3 and Form 940 preparation and filing are billed separately at the rate quoted to you before year-end processing begins. You will always see and approve the exact charge before we file. Annual Plan customers pay nothing additional for year-end filing.
3.What Is Never Charged
- E-filing fees: $0 — electronic transmission to the IRS and EDD is included
- Per-employee fees: $0
- Setup or onboarding fees: $0
- Amendment consultation: if a filing error was caused by us, we correct and re-file it at no charge
4.Taxes Are Separate From Fees
Our fees cover the preparation and filing service only. The payroll taxes themselves (federal and California employment taxes) are your business's own liability and are paid directly to the IRS and the EDD from your account — they are never collected by or paid to JM Accounting Inc.
5.Payment and Refunds
Fees are billed by invoice and collected by ACH direct debit from the company checking account you provide, under the written debit authorization you sign during registration. You may revoke this authorization at any time with 15 days’ written notice.
Fees are payable when service begins for the applicable period. For refund terms, please see our Terms & Conditions. Questions about billing? Contact us — we will explain any charge in plain language.
